Bahrain Defence Force Chief Hails Peninsula Shield Forces

Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Chief-of-Staff, Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, paid a visit to the Advanced Command of the Peninsula Shield Forces (PSF).

The Chief-of-Staff was received by PSF Commander Major General Hassan bin Hamza Al Shehri, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

He met a number of Senior Officers and lauded the outstanding efforts exerted by PSF at consolidating Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) unity of purpose and destiny.

Director of Joint Operations, Brigadier-General Ghanem Ibrahim Al-Fadhala, Commander of the Royal Mechanised Infantry Battalion/13, Brigadier-General Khalid Salman Al-Maawda, and a number of BDF Officers, attended the meeting.

The Peninsula Shield Force is the military side of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). It is intended to deter, and respond to, military aggression against any of the GCC member countries: Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain.
